I have started taking minutes off of Jake's bedtime for not listening, being sassy, not respectful, etc.
Really it is the only thing that is working for us at this point in time. He has this funny obsession with asking what time it is and how many minutes till bedtime. He wants to get every second possible before it's time to go to sleep.
So a few days ago he started being a little "sassy" with me, so I went over to a little board I have hanging on the fridge and wrote "Jake's normal bedtime, 8:30.... -10 min for being sassy." To make a long story short I never actually followed through for one reason or another and this is what I found the next day... it says "momy you nevr hade me go to bed at 8:20." Brad and I got a very good laugh out of it. Oh Jake, you keep us on our toes, I will be sure to follow through next time!

Oh yes- you must follow through but hey- I said that a lot before I became a parent. Now- it's all about survival...keeping Mila happy, etc. That boy is sweet deep down.....that's what I really like about him :)
Oh my gosh, what a cheeky boy! He is still perfect for Brielle :0)
LOL! Toby already has us cracking up all the time with things he says and he's two! Jake is such a sweetheart (and not just "deep down")...
YES! like mother like son...
