WEEKEND FUN!

We went to a friends birthday this weekend with our other good friends, Lance and Sue. It was Monte Carlo style and cocktail attire which wasn't the easiest thing for me to do being that I am 7 months pregnant... Lucky for me I found a dress at Gap maternity that worked out ok! This party was so much fun! We saw a lot of friends, ate yummy food and dessert, then they had a casino set up to play all night at... When we got to the party we got a little card that we could trade in for $1500 in chips, then you just play and play for fake chips/money... Every $100 you won you could trade in for a raffle ticket and they did a drawing at the end... I happened to win a Ipod touch screen which I am pretty happy about! They were also giving away a flat screen t.v. dang, so close!

7 MONTHS

I know, I know it looks like I actually ate the whole turkey this Thanksgiving.... Nope, just little Millie growing like crazy! I can't wait!!!!

NATIVITY

LAUNDRY TIPS?

Does anyone Else's child come home EVERY SINGLE DAY with clothes looking like this?? I have seriously considered buying only black for Jake lately. Does anyone have any stain tips?? REALLY... Nearly all of his clothes are stained and ruined the first time he wears them.

I ask him what he is doing and he tells me playing sports at recess and after school... How can I get mad at a boy for doing boy things?? Oh well... Your laundry secrets welcome!

BABY ELLIOTT JANE

My Brother and his wife welcomed their first baby into the world a few days ago! She weighed in at 6lbs 6oz. Jake and I went to see her and oh boy was she cute! Jake told me after we left that he just wanted to "eat her up!" He is very excited for our new baby, he asks almost daily when she will be here and then informs me she is taking a long time.

Our little girl will be named Millie, its official and has been from the beginning!
This is the wonderful woman I am naming my little girl after! Gramma Millie. She is the sweetest most wonderful grandmother a girl could have and little Millie will be proud to share her name! I love you Gramma Millie!

I am not sure why I have not been blogging about all the amazing deals I have been finding for our little girl??? But believe me, I could dedicate this whole blog to my shopping sprees!! Can I just tell you all how much I love my one day a week job at Gap!! I work to fuel my habit! I get first dibs on all markdowns and returns and then of course my discount!!

Someone returned this a few days ago and our Gap never carried it, therefore we price killed it, which means we marked it super low... $3.97 then we had an additional 25% off going on in kids that could be combined with our 30% employee discount!!! You do the math!! Regular price $34.99. OHHH YAAAA! And it is the perfect size for the 4th of july month! Red/white and blue!

ROCCOBAMA

Jake came home from school today with a piece of paper on his shirt that said " I voted." He then asked, "Mommy, who did you vote for?" I didn't vote, so I asked him what his sticker meant... He then told me that there are 2 people who are trying to be president and he voted for "McCain, Not Roccobama." I do not know why but I got a lot of humor out of my 6 year old telling me what was going on in the world. I have been really impressed with his teachers teaching methods and I think she is doing a phenomenal job with the kids! Then he told me how the election results would be on and wondered if he could stay up longer to watch who wins? The funny thing about Jake is that I am pretty sure he knows nothing about any of this.. It is simply because he chose someone he wanted to win and due to his competitive nature he just wanted his team to win. The other funny thing to me is that Brad and I really have never had a political discussion in front of Jake, so it is funny that he decided on his own who he thought the best candidate would be.... Then he told me they were talking about who everyone voted for at recess and some kid came up to him and tackled him to the ground for choosing McCain... Little brat(But don't worry Jake said he fought back and made the kid cry) ... Just something funny to think about!

BTW Jake was really upset with the results. lol

FALL HAS FELL!

AHHH! The sweet feel of fall!! I am so excited for the weather... I woke up this morning and I just knew it was cooler and finally fall before I even peeked out the window! I LOVE the smell in the air! I was getting really sick of the perfect weather.. I know that sounds silly, but I have nothing to wear. I have so many sweaters and long sleeves for the pregnancy and have been unable to wear anything. I have been pushing my regular clothes/shirts to the limit and need to retire them:)

COSTUMES!

Jake went from wanting to be a scary skeleton at his school carnival to a cute Indian to trick or treat! Oh well, the boy could not make up his mind..... He needed a taste of both I guess!

HALLOWEEN

I really cannot say enough good things about Discovery Gateway! We went there to celebrate Halloween and we had a blast! They had face (or hand painting), decorate your own trick or treat bag, pumpkin painting, mask making, and graham cracker haunted house making! after the festivities they had put on a magic show, trick or treating, and costume contests! You should all make an effort to go next year! I think we might make it our tradition!

COOKIES!

Jake wanted to make cookies today so I gave him a long choice of options... After some thought, he decided on gingerbread cookies (which are my fav!!) YUMM!

DUCKS, GEESE, PIGEONS, AND SEAGULLS OH MY!

We fed the ducks today after Jake got out of school.... Oh my are they overwhelming! Maybe even a little scary! Jake said he felt bad because the seagulls were so mean to each other. They were all fighting for the wheat delight, and getting a little too close for comfort! We saw everything from ducks, geese, pigeons and seagulls.

Jake had his last baseball game last night... Here he is with his eye on the prize...Homeplate!

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL CARNIVAL

We are very lucky to live next to East high..Yes, the high school musical phenomenon! Jake will be attending high school there if we are still in this area when he is ready. They had a Halloween fundraising carnival and we went! We had a lot of fun! Jake won lots of cool HSM paraphernalia and got to play lots of games! He even got a East high hoodie! He was very excited about that and has not taken it off since last night.

Getting big!

I feel like I am getting huge! I am having some serious trouble bending over... Brad laughs at me a lot due to my grunting every time I get up, sit down, or bend over. I am feeling her move a lot! It kind of makes it a little more real, ya know!? I am 5 months and 3 weeks... Almost 6months, the time really does fly, pretty soon I will have a baby and she will be turning 1... So I am just trying to enjoy what is happening now and excited for what is coming! I am sure I will have a different attitude when I have 3 weeks left:)

PUMPKINS!

The pumpkin carving begins! We decided it would be a good weekend for carving pumpkins! After some yummy taco soup we let the fun begin!
