SOCCER!

Jake had his 2nd soccer game yesterday! Jake loves soccer! SCORE 3-0 (Jake made all 3 goals!)Have I mentioned Jake LOVES sports and is very good at them?

DEW TOUR

We went to the Dew Tour this past weekend with some of our friends. we all had lots of fun watching all of the sports, skateboarding, motocross, and bmx bikes! Jake even got to meet one of the champions!

CAMPING!

The boys and Brad went to the father/son camp out last weekend and had a blast! They got there late Friday and returned early Saturday morning....Not a long camp out, but a fun one for sure!

My sassy little Jake!

I have started taking minutes off of Jake's bedtime for not listening, being sassy, not respectful, etc.

Really it is the only thing that is working for us at this point in time. He has this funny obsession with asking what time it is and how many minutes till bedtime. He wants to get every second possible before it's time to go to sleep.

So a few days ago he started being a little "sassy" with me, so I went over to a little board I have hanging on the fridge and wrote "Jake's normal bedtime, 8:30.... -10 min for being sassy." To make a long story short I never actually followed through for one reason or another and this is what I found the next day... it says "momy you nevr hade me go to bed at 8:20." Brad and I got a very good laugh out of it. Oh Jake, you keep us on our toes, I will be sure to follow through next time!

AND SHE'S STANDING!

Millie was crying in a weird way today after I laid her down, I went in to check on her and this is what I found!

She was very proud of herself after I said, "what do you think you're doing?"

6 MONTHS.

Wow....6 months already! It has been a fun journey thus far!! Here is what's new with baby girl!
15 lbs 11 oz. (50-75%)
26 1/4 inches tall (50%)

• Loves food, especially when she eats it herself!
• Can sit on her own!
• Army crawls and gets into EVERYTHING!
• Pulls herself up on things. (crib, toy bin, etc.)
• Gives open mouth kisses to her mommy!
• Loves the water. (Bath time or swimming.)
• Lights up when Jake comes home from school!
• Prefers mommy or daddy over others.
• Soothes herself with her first 2 fingers on her right hand only.
• Talks, blows raspberries, sings, and laughs!
  
  Millie is such a happy little baby, she is a pure joy to have around! We love this sweet baby girl!

a good laugh!

I am not sure why this is so funny! But everyone I've shown it to has not been able to stop laughing out loud!!

ALREADY??

I put Millie for her morning nap and a few minutes later she was crying. Usually if she cries then she will not go to sleep. So I went to get her and this is what I found..........
She had pulled herself up on the crib and was looking over the edge like, hmmm how do I get out of this thing?? :)
Oh boy.... She is already a handful, I do wonder when she will walk if she keeps going at this rate?? Does this seem a little early to anyone else? I don't remember Jake doing this so soon?

Costco fruit leather saves the day!

Okay so Millie, my sweet little girl is (bless her heart) a little handful.

She does not want to be held and she does not want to be in her car seat... She makes it a little bit difficult to do anything outside of the house but especially grocery shopping.

The last time I shopped with her a vowed NEVER to do it again. To make a long story short she was screaming so loud and would not nurse, eat food or take a toy, so I finally had to leave without half of the things I needed.

I had to go to the store today so I thought, okay I will have Jake (who helps SO much) push her in the stroller while I load the cart. Because she actually does like a good walk in the stroller. She was good for about 20 min and then it began..... I reached desperately into my purse for something, anything and found a fruit leather. I unwrapped it and handed it to her, I didn't really care what the aftermath was going to look like.

I shopped and might I add took my sweet time because she did not make one peep the rest of the time! And just when I was about done we looked down and she was sleeping still sucking away on the little piece that was left of that heaven sent piece of fruit! We love fruit leathers at our house, even more now!

ON THE MOVE!!!

In my opinion, this is crawling... She gets to where she needs to go and has been able to for 2 months. I am pretty sure our hands will be full with this little firecracker!
Which would explain how she got to one of Brad's business cards the other day and ate it. Brad was saying it was an important business card and now half of the number was now missing. The next day I found the rest of that number for Brad.... In her poop! We were laughing so hard and I am not kidding when I tell you I actually read off the "missing" number to Brad. I was going to take a picture to prove it but I didn't want anyone losing their lunch. FUNNY!
Her pants and socks were inhibiting her a little. She is after a plate, the girl loves to eat!

2nd Grade!

Jake's first day of 2nd grade! He told me he was not excited but he could not hide it! He has a boy teacher this year...Mr. C. I have heard great things about him, I am excited to see how the year goes! I think it will be a positive experience having a male teacher.

(Jake has wanted a vest ever since he saw my little brother Joe wearing one... I finally found one in his size! He has had his "first day of school outfit picked out for a month and nothing I ever could have said would have swayed his decision!)

She is all smiles! Millie was not feeling good for a few days due to a fever, I am glad to see her sweet self return!

COUSINS!

My sister and I met at Gardner village yesterday to walk around and eat lunch! It was a much needed fun little day with my sister! Thanks Tiff!
